As a service to the community, and as a way of encouraging intellectual dialogue among local residents and faculty and students of the university, Toyo Gakuen University offers a monthly lecture series at the Nagareyama Campus. The series features presentations by faculty members as well as prominent journalists and visiting scholars. These lectures focus on analysis of current events and topics related to both domestic and international issues, such as "The Iraq War and Japanese Security," "Japan's High Dependency upon Foreign Food Imports," and "The Making of Japanese Economic Policies."
